About this list
Passive skills are the biggest single upgrade you can give a Pal, and the main reason players breed. This list has every passive in Palworld 1.0 with its exact effect, its rank, whether it can be implanted and which Pals carry it naturally. Ranks run from -3 for the worst negatives to 4 for the rainbow tier, and 1.0 added a rank 5 group of World Tree passives: very strong, each with a real drawback, and each stops World Tree resources from vanishing. Effects on the same stat add together, so +20% Attack and +30% Attack give +50%. A Pal can hold four passives and can't have the same one twice. To get them onto your Pal, breed them down from parents (see our inheritance guide), or implant them at the Pal Surgery Table if you own the implant. Legend and Lucky can't be implanted and don't appear as random breeding rolls, so they have to come from a parent that already has them.
Next step: get the child of any two Pals, every parent combo and the shortest breeding path in the Palworld breeding calculator.
Frequently asked questions
#What are the best passive skills in Palworld 1.0?
For combat, Legend, Lucky, Demon God and Ferocious or Musclehead. For work, Remarkable Craftsmanship, Artisan, Lucky and Serious. For mounts, Swift, Runner, Nimble and Eternal Engine or Infinite Stamina.
Do passive skills stack?
Yes, effects on the same stat add together. A Pal can hold four passives but not the same one twice.
How many passive skills can a Pal have?
Four.
Can you remove or change passive skills?
Yes, at the Pal Surgery Table (Technology Level 38), which replaces a passive with an implanted one for 50,000 Gold. Or breed a new Pal without the bad passive.
Which passive skills can be bought?
Implants for Artisan, Musclehead, Burly Body and four player-support passives from the Bounty Officer, and Infinite Stamina, Runner, Serenity and four others from the Arena Merchant.
What are rainbow passive skills?
Rank 4 passives with strong, drawback-free effects, such as Legend, Lucky, Swift, Demon God and Diamond Body. The five mutation-only passives are also rank 4.
