Palworld mining tier list
The best mining Pals in Palworld 1.0.5 are Aegidron, Astegon, Blazamut, Knocklem and Knocklem Ignis, with Mining Lv 8. Tiers follow the base Mining level from game data. 57 Pals can mine. Nocturnal miners keep working at night, and books, condensation and passives like Artisan push any miner higher.
Data: Palworld 1.0.5 game files (Steam build 25247047)Updated
Ore, coal, sulfur and the endgame ores all come from miners, so this is the job most bases run short on. Palworld 1.0 raised the work suitability cap to level 10, and base species now start as high as level 8, so the gap between an early-game miner and an endgame one is big. This list ranks every Pal that can mine by its base Mining level from the 1.0 game data. Within a tier, nocturnal Pals come first because they don't stop at night, then Pals you can catch earlier. The level shown is the species' starting level: each condensation star raises a Pal's highest work suitability by one (and four stars raise all of them), and an Applied Mining Handbook adds another level. Work-speed passives like Artisan (+50%) and Remarkable Craftsmanship (+75%) multiply what the level gives you. So the fastest way to a great mining base is to pick a high-tier species you can breed easily, then condense it and give it work passives. For one flat ranking of every miner by level and work speed, see the full list of the best Mining Pals.

Method
| Part | Rule |
|---|---|
| Who is ranked | Pals with work.mining > 0. |
| Formula | primary key = work.mining (base species level) |
| Ties | nocturnal first, then lower wild_level.min (easier to get), then more other work types, then name A-Z |
| Top level | highest work.mining in the population (8 in current data) |
| Exclusions | none |
| Tiers | S: level >= job_max - 1 (the top two levels any Pal has in this job); A: job_max - 3 <= level <= job_max - 2; B: level = job_max - 4; C: job_max - 6 <= level <= job_max - 5; D: anything lower |
Tiers are computed from base-species data in data/pals.json (Pal Calc DB, Palworld 1.0.5). They ignore passives, talents (IVs), condensation and level, which you control. Unofficial fan site; not affiliated with Pocketpair.

Frequently asked questions
#What is the best mining Pal in Palworld 1.0?
Aegidron has the highest base Mining level (Lv 8). Blazamut Ryu are also S tier.
What is the best early-game mining Pal?
Tombat is the best miner you can catch before about level 15 (Mining Lv 3).
How do I make my miners faster?
Condense them (each star raises their best job by one), use Applied Mining Handbooks, and give them work-speed passives such as Artisan, Serious or Remarkable Craftsmanship. Keep them fed and their SAN up.
What is the max Mining level?
Work suitability goes up to level 10 in 1.0. The best species start at 8; condensation and books take them the rest of the way.
